Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan
Hakodate is a port city on the Kameda Peninsular in the Southern part of Hokkaido. The city is located on a sandbar between mainland Hokkaido and Mt Hakodate. Goryokaku fortress and Mt Hakodate are the most prominent landmarks in the city. It also features as one of the earliest Japanese ports open to foreign trade in 1854
